The PureRejuv Wellness Center offers integrative health services and therapeutic treatments designed for accelerated healing, disease prevention, and long-lasting vitality. Our services and programs restore a sense of wholeness, and when combined with a healthy diet and stress-reduction training, have been found to help rebuild the connection to inner peace. Our Team

Our talented team of medical practitioners and therapeutic staff is supervised by our medical director, Carrie Demers, MD. A holistic physician and board certified in integrative medicine, Dr. Demers incorporates modern medicine and holistic approaches to health including ayurveda, chinese traditional medicine, herbs, homeopathy, yoga, diet, and lifestyle changes.

Carrie Demers MD, has practiced integrative medicine for 22 years. After earning her medical degree and becoming board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Demers went on to study massage, homeopathy, yoga, meditation, nutrition, herbal medicine, and ayurveda. She uses all these modalities to support patients’ inherent ability to heal. Dr. Demers sees patients, writes articles, and lectures nationally on integrative medicine. She is board-certified in integrative medicine, and has been the medical director of PureRejuv Wellness Center for the last 20 years.

Theresa Oswald, M.D., the founder and president of Knowledge as Medicine, has practiced holistic medicine for over 25 years. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from The Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency training at The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago at Northwestern University. Dr. Oswald is Board Certified with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Integrative Medicine. She has been board certified in Integrative Medicine for over 10 years. Her career as a physiatrist has been spent honing ways to optimize her patient’s function in all areas of health: body, mind and spirit. Her experience includes the delivery of medicine in the most modern hospital settings as well as in the most simple, rural settings in developing countries.

A chiropractor and certified applied kinesiologist with a private practice at PureRejuv Wellness Center, Dr. Head has a holistic philosophy of health care. She evaluates the structural, chemical, and mental aspects of health utilizing manual muscle testing. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Summa Cum Laude honors from Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa, a BA in natural sciences and a BM in piano performance from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Dr. Head lectures on stress management, workplace ergonomics, and headache prevention.

Bill’s spiritual journey began in 1974 when he began practicing meditation. After working as a registered nurse, Bill earned a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Wisconsin. After a nearly 30-year career teaching in higher education, Bill moved to the Himalayan Institute where he completed 200-hour and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs and currently teaches yoga classes. At the PureRejuv Wellness Center, Bill combines modern science and ancient yoga wisdom in his work as a certified biofeedback therapist and yoga teacher helping clients build resilience to stress through the practice of self-regulatory techniques. He also sees clients for individual breath training, guided systematic relaxation, and meditation sessions.

Judy MoultonJudy Moulton

Judy Moulton is a Himalayan Institute certified and Yoga Alliance recognized E-RYT 500, an Ayurvedic Health Counselor registered with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), and a contributor to YogaInternational.com. Judy is also the director of the Himalayan Institute’s teacher certification programs and a key facilitator within those programs. Having experienced the immense transformative power of yoga directly, she relies on her own personal practice of yoga and ayurveda to support her daily life and is dedicated to helping others to do the same. Judy’s style of teaching combines breath-connected movement, classical asanas, breath training, and systematic relaxation to access a state of deep inner awareness as preparation for meditative practice.

Integrative Therapy Staff

A graduate of the Santa Fe School of Massage. Nema explores the relationship of touch, movement, sound, breath, and meditation to facilitate the flow of energy in the body to promote healing and expand awareness. She also uses Shiatsu, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Myopathic Muscular Therapy, Bowen Therapy, and Visceral Manipulation in her sessions. She trained and performed as a dancer for 20 years, and experienced many movement modalities for healing, including the Alexander and Feldenkrais Techniques, Dance Meditation, and Continuum. She is a graduate in English from Oberlin College, where she also studied voice, and leads weekly kirtans at the Himalayan Institute.

Faith received her certification at The Baltimore School of Massage in York, PA. She studied Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial, and Prenatal Massage and has been a massage therapist for over 12 years. She also received a certificate in Craniosacral Therapy and became a Certified Level II Reiki Practitioner. Faith believes strongly in the mind-body-spirit connection and embraces massage as an important part of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Faith incorporates these and other techniques into her sessions according to the individual needs of the client.

Stephen received an associate’s degree in professional massage therapy at the Keystone Technical Institute in Harrisburg, PA and has training in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage as well as Myofascial, Trigger Point, Acupressure and Reiki. He believes that health and wellness stem from balance, both internal and external, and that massage, bodywork, exercise and diet all play crucial roles in maintaining that balance. He has also studied Reflexology and Unwinding, which are his strongest techniques. His massage is informed by a deep involvement in yoga and martial arts.

Donnalee Tyler is a graduate of the Sedona School of Massage, Sedona, AZ, and trained in Swedish, Connective Tissue (Deep), Cranial Sacral, Ortho Bionomy, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Polarity, Myofascial, Muscular/Skeletal therapies, and Oncology Massage (Light Touch). A Reiki Master/Trainer, she is certified in Usui, Karuna and Violet Flame Reiki.

Julia Wittich is a certified Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner. She received her BA in women studies and photography and completed a year program in art therapy. Her work is greatly influenced by her experience nursing both her mother and sister through premature illness and death. Her delight is to support both men and women during intense life transitions, and to help them transform from the person they were taught to be, to who they truly are. She is presently focusing her continuing education on the newest developments in trauma therapy through NICABM.
