The Products and Publication Division of the Himalayan Institute embodies dynamism and innovation, committed to delivering top-tier health products and publications rooted in ancient wisdom and wellness practices. We are seeking a motivated Operations Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health, wellness, and yoga publishings, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a combination of sales expertise, order processing efficiency, and dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Sales Support:
- Assist customers from both direct and wholesale channels, through our online store by providing product information, recommendations, and guidance to meet their individual needs.
- Actively engage with customers to drive sales and meet or exceed established targets for direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and distributor sales channels.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our products and publications and effectively communicate the unique benefits and features to customers.
Order Fulfillment:
- Process and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery.
- Work with the management team to maintain organized inventory levels and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate shipping and track orders to ensure on-time delivery.
Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Resolve order-related issues such as returns, exchanges, and refunds with a positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Provide post-sales support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
- Generate reports to track sales performance, inventory turnover, and customer feedback.
- Assist with merchandising efforts, including product displays, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, routinely following set standard operating procedures for warehouse and fulfillment areas.
- Work with management to list and update online products and publications, collaborating with other departments as necessary.
- Work with management to support business operations as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or order fulfillment preferred.
- Experience with health products and spiritual publications, preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale systems and e-commerce platforms (Google platform, Shopify, Shipstation, Amazon Seller Central).
- Passion for health, wellness, and holistic living, with a genuine desire to help customers improve their well-being.
