In the Footsteps of the Sages

In the Footsteps of the Sages takes us on a personal tour of the Himalayas where the accomplished yogis—sages and adepts—lived and did their sadhana (practice).

Our journey begins in the mysterious Deva Bhumi—the “Land of the Gods”—where, it is said, the gods are so drawn by the beauty of the area that they descend from heaven to walk among the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. Setting off from Haridwar, we follow the traditional pilgrimage route to the famous mountain shrines of Kedarnath, Tungnath, and Badrinath, and also visit shrines hidden in deep valleys or isolated on lonely peaks. Along the way, we also visit the Kumbha Mela, the vibrant spiritual festival that is held every 12 years on the banks of the Ganges in Allahabad.
