Secret of the Yoga Sutra Book Club

Overview

The practice of yoga can certainly help us lead a happier, healthier life in our everyday reality. Digging a little deeper, however, we find that it can also lead us beyond the mundane and let us connect with the very source of reality. In fact, yoga means “union”: experiencing oneness with the luminous, eternal core of this ever-changing world.

For thousands of years, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra has been guiding those who seek this union. In the Secret of the Yoga Sutra Book Club, Ishan Tigunait unpacks the first of the Sutra’s four parts (padas) using Pandit Rajmani Tigunait’s book of translation and commentary, The Secret of the Yoga Sutra: Samadhi Pada. What is the purpose of life? What are the means of achieving it? Join us as we tackle these questions head-on—with the experiential wisdom flowing from a living lineage of sages.

Pick up a copy of Pandit Tigunait’s The Secret of the Yoga Sutra: Samadhi Pada and follow along. As you read, you can refer to the PDF Study Guide for key terms and self-study questions.
