The Blue Trail offers a more challenging hike, descending steeply from Sound of Music Hill, through the woods, and joining an old country road that leads to Tanner’s Falls. This lovely waterfall, a popular attraction located on public land, sits among the stone remnants of the tannery and lumber mill that operated at the site in the late 19th century.
Difficulty: challenging, steep
Duration: 45–60 minutes
Hiking is at your own risk. Please notify Reception if you are taking an extended hike or if you have any questions about the trails. We recommend that you hike with a partner. Closed-toed shoes, water, sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, and brightly colored clothing are also recommended.
