Jyoti

Jyoti (Susan Kiskis) is an author, yoga teacher, and kirtan wallah. She has stood on the Great Wall of China, meditated on the Ganges in India, hiked through jungles in Belize, and learned the meaning of pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago.​

Her books include ​Born Fire Dragon, released in 2014, and Let Me Carry You Home, released in 2018. She is the host of Sunbury Press' Book Speak Network wellness/spirituality podcast "ZenUp," as well as the co-host of the web series "Soul Sessions."

​Jyoti travels the globe sharing her passion for yoga's roots and sharing her love of bhakti yoga. She is a member of the kirtan band ​"The Mas and The Babas." Jyoti has been performing as an indie vocalist for the past twenty years and is certified in Sound and Vibrational Therapy. She is a student of Hindustani musician Kishan Patel, and has studied kirtan/bhakti yoga with David Newman, and Bhakti Lata Dasi at the Bhakti Center in N.Y.C. She has also studied Vedic chanting with Dr. Finnian M. M. Gerety of Brown University and Professor Guy Beck with the Oxford University Centre for Hindu Studies.
