To the outside observer, the yogi’s universe seems like an impenetrable mystery—even at times like spiritual science fiction. How can we reveal the mysteries hidden in the fabric of our universe, and begin to see the world as the ancient sages did? How can we discover the deepest power of our mind through samadhi, and use this power to grow as expansive as the universe and more radiant than the brightest star? How can we unlock the immeasurable reservoir of our latent potential—our kundalini shakti—through the power of prana shakti so that we can be the creators of a vibrant reality rooted in our sankalpa (willpower)?

The key to unveiling these mysteries, and many other fascinating dimensions of yoga and tantra, lies in understanding the metaphysics of a yogi’s universe. Sankhya is this most ancient darshana (self-revealing wisdom) which underpins the entire path of yoga and tantra. Mastery of Sankhya metaphysics and cosmology is a fundamental prerequisite for applying the deeper prayogas (applications) of yogic practices and tantric rituals.

In this intensive study, we’ll explore:
  • Sankhya yoga as vidya—a living body of wisdom
  • Sources of vidya and the role of guru parampara
  • The unity of purusha & prakriti as our primordial source
  • The law of satkaryavada (spiritual evolution)
  • Hiranyagarbha: the golden egg of consciousness which gives birth to the cosmic mind and our universe
  • The 23 tattvas of prakriti and how they give birth to our personal reality
  • A yogic anatomy of our mind (chitta) from the perspective of everyday life, sadhana, and samadhi
  • The synergy of Sankhya yoga and tantra vidya: unveiling the mystery of kundalini and prana shakti in relation to purusha, prakriti, hiranyagarbha, and buddhi
  • Where tantric rituals derive their power, and how we can tap into this pool of shakti through the knowledge of Sankhya
  • The eight bhavas of buddhi, and their role in transforming practice into sadhana
