Guru Purnima is the annual spiritual celebration in honor of the Tradition. Guru, in Sanskrit, means “that which dispels the darkness of ignorance.” The Guru, the teacher – both inner and outer – is acknowledged and honored on this day, the full moon, when the force of illumination is manifest a thousand-fold.

Guru Purnima is the day when students come to their teachers to refresh and rejuvenate their spirits and to receive further instructions for their spiritual journey. It is also a reunion – a time for teachers, students, and like-minded people to connect, share, and prosper.
