Join us for a weekend of exploration into the practices of yoga that can help us cultivate inner peace, even with the chaos of daily life unfolding around us. Grounding practices in asana, meditation, and pranayama; discussion and exploration of the kleshas and all eight limbs of yoga and how to use them in our daily life.
Every day we are exposed to a barrage of stimuli from social media, news, friends, family, co-workers, all telling us what to wear, how to act, what’s good, what’s bad — as Ram Dass put it in a lecture many years ago: “It’s all beautifully horrible, and everybody is in it up to their eyeballs, so dramatic, so thick.” We become under the control of our senses and thoughts which have been clouded by all this stimuli. We forget our true nature, our inner radiance.
It is when we reside quietly in our own heart that we become the light of unbearable compassion and infinite power. Let us come home to ourselves and create inner peace and a calm, balanced center.
