Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; flexible depending on Retreat Center events

The IT/IS team is looking for an energetic, motivated individual who is interested in learning about software and hardware support within a small non-profit organization. The ideal team member is someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented with proven communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible, and an interest in and aptitude for learning.


This position is primarily responsible for solving computer and technical issues to ensure smooth, continuous functioning across the organization. The individual will learn about other back-end support functions such as networking, routers, servers, virtual servers, and more. Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for user base regarding login, printer, software and hardware issues, following up by email or phone as required
  • Manage customer support tickets: documenting, researching, tracking, and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor issues in the ticketing system and escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources
  • Create events in WebRezPro based on requests submitted by Mission Programs and Retreat Center teams
  • Learn with our experienced IT/IS staff to advance your development and career growth potential
  • Additional larger projects depending on skill and interest

Internship Requirements:

  • Detail oriented
  • Skilled at organizing information
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in computer hardware, building from scratch and/or repairing
  • Experience installing computer operating systems
  • Experience supporting or using software or web applications

Nice to Have:

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working with phone systems
  • Microsoft MCSA certification or training toward it
  • Knowledge of networking, routers, servers, virtual servers
