Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; flexible depending on Retreat Center events

The Creative Services team is looking for an energetic, motivated individual who is interested in learning about professional graphic design in a small non-profit organization. The ideal team member is someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented with proven communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible, and an interest in and aptitude for learning.
Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the design of digital marketing and advertising materials, social media advertisements, as well as occasional print advertisement and logos. Specific responsibilities may include:
- Image selection and manipulation including resizing, cropping, resampling, applying text overlay, and other minor modifications
- Layout, design, and creation of digital and print materials such as flyers, posters, website pages or page elements, infographics, and illustrations
- Create digital photographs for a wide range of projects; assist with photography shoots
- Prepare digital assets using scanners and or digital cameras
- Manage requests from internal customers for visual assets, communicating requirements and progress to team members and the customer
- Assist Creative Services team in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
Internship Requirements:
- Organized and detail oriented
- Good written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person
- Ability and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced collaborative environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Able to manage time wisely, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple important tasks at once
Preferred Qualifications:
- Design student or recent design graduate
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience in design concept, page layout, typography and illustration
- Knowledge in developing creative concepts
- Design portfolio and/or website
- Ideal candidates will have a strong passion for art, quality design, and innovation
Nice to Have:
- Degree in graphic design or illustration, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in photo editing, color correction, and image manipulation
- Experience with Adobe Lightroom
- Experience building web pages using HTML, CSS, & JavaScript/jQuery
- Interest in yoga or learning about yoga
