Day 2
Welcome to Day 2 of the cleanse!
How did the first day go? Keep track of any effects that you notice each day. Today we want to emphasize the importance of creating a stress-free rhythm and routine for the week.
We can’t emphasize enough the profound detoxifying power of slowing down during your cleanse. We strongly recommend that you take a look at your schedule and eliminate any nonessential commitments this week. Giving yourself extra time to rest early in the week can make a huge impact on how you feel and how your digestive and eliminatory systems respond to the cleansing diet. Incorporating a meditation practice or restorative yoga session into your schedule each day will further restore your energy and calm your nervous system.
ACTIVE: Shari Frederichson’s Organ Cleansing practice
RESTORATIVE: Kripalu’s Restorative Yoga with Sudha Lundeen
MEDITATION: Claudia Welch’s Five Element meditation.
Looking for a different level of practice today? Gentler? More challenging? Visit our resources page for more options.
While rest and relaxation create space for transformation, sticking to a routine during this time will ground and center you. Two essential parts of that routine include early morning tongue scraping and abhyanga or self-oil massage, a soothing practice that releases accumulated stress and invigorates your lymphatic circulation. Commit to doing yoga and a brief meditation or breathing practice at the same time each day.
