Is there anyway to get 2.2 A Strengthening Practice for the Pelvis and Abdomen on MP3… It sure would be nice to get it downloaded to my phone so I dont have to have internet service in order do this practice… I find this practice very helpful in healing my body!!!

    • Pamela Grubb

I agree this would be wonderful to have it on my IPod

  • darcy

hi I am really enjoying this series, AND its hard with some of the asana practices to have audio only. For example in the 3.3 Shari says there are “3 options for camel: this… this,,, and this…” And a couple things she did I have no idea because I couldn’t see and she didn’t name the pose. Fortunately I have taken enough classes with her at HI that I could figure out some things. But please can’t you do videos of the asana parts? Even if on her, or one person on stage doing what she is saying? Also in another talk she referred to a diagram she drew on the board, which was in a session that was only audio.
    thanks

  • Jmajerge

Thank you, Sheri. Such an immensely helpful class to take during my purash charana-

  • Amy

Greetings and thanks for this wonderful session!  I have noticed the session for 3.3 Strengthening and Healing the Heart Asana Practice is very similar if not the same recording as 2.3 A Standing and Backbending Practice. Is is possible you could have a look into this and let me know if it is indeed a similar practice or if maybe one of the recordings has been mistakenly place?

    • Amy

Hello, thought to provide and update on my previous post above.  The recording for 3.3 is the same recording as 2.3 however the MP3 download for 3.3 is the correct recording.  So if you would like to access 3.3 you may want to play the MP3 download vs the link provided.

    • june

Amy, how/where do es one find the download?

    • Amy

Click on the link segment that says “Download the MP3″, you can play it or save it to your computer or other device:
3.3 Strengthening and Healing the Heart Asana Practice
Download the MP3 (Right-Click, “Save as”)  (This is the link you want)

      Hope this helps :)

  • sheilajulaine

There is reference to handouts in Fire and Ice;  could we have access to the handouts somewhere?

    • http://himalayaninstitute.org The Himalayan Institute

Sure, the fastest way to get you these handouts is to put them here: http://cl.ly/F4V1

We will look into ways to better incorporate them into the online course soon.

    • darcy

      thanks!!

  • Jean

Thanks for offering this online!  Just a click away from the institute instead of hundreds of miles!
It would be helpful to have a screen-shot end section that highlights (kind of like an outline form)  any Sanskrit references with English and also references to the Yoga Sutras, etc. for those individuals who may not be as familiar with the terms and references.  I know that Shari asked who knew of certain things, so not sure how many hands went up.
Tremendous wealth of information..a sea of information. Beautiful!

It is Sunday 11pm and I cannot open any of Shari’s videos or practices from my iPad. I saw some during daytime. Is there a specific timetable to be able to study on line? Thanks for yor help!

  • Anonymous

Shari said that Zack had a list of the books that she recommended.  Would you be able to post that here?   Thank you for the wonderful sessions.

    • http://himalayaninstitute.org The Himalayan Institute

We are checking with Zach right now.  Will post list soon.

The 3 from Fire and Ice

    • http://himalayaninstitute.org The Himalayan Institute

We will test right now. It’s unlikely that all three files are corrupt. What operating system and browser are you using?

  • Pamela

Attempted this, I tunes states it is not found and does not support it.

    • http://himalayaninstitute.org The Himalayan Institute

Which file number are you attempting to download? We will need to verify that the file is not corrupt.

  • Pamela

Having difficulty downloading MP3 onto my IPhone please advise

    • http://himalayaninstitute.org The Himalayan Institute

Apple does not allow direct download to iOS devices from websites. You must download the file to a computer first, then add to iPhone via iTunes.

    • http://himalayaninstitute.org The Himalayan Institute

There does seem to be an issue with the files on the server. We will work to get this corrected as soon as possible, but a simple, immediate fix would be to change the file type extension from “.mp3″ to “.mp4.” a message will pop up asking if you really want to alter the extension, select yes or continue, and then try to add it to iTunes library and then the iPhone.

I removed our other comments because they were not nesting.  To reply to this discussion hit “Reply” in the lower right side of this message.

Apologies for the inconvenience.  We’ll make sure to get to the root cause of the issue so that this does not happen again.

  • Venise Grossmann

I could only access the first video tonight–1/23.

    • Venise Grossmann

      It’s working now.
