In the past ten years alone HI donors have generously given over $6 million. Here are a few of the key achievements your generosity has helped us achieve in the past decade:

Humanitarian Projects

Tibetan Refugee Energy Farming programs
In partnership with the Tibetan government-in-exile, HI has implemented large-scale community tree plantation programs in several Tibetan refugee settlements in South India. Over 25,000 trees have already been planted, and several training and demonstration centers for sustainable tree planting have been established.

Himalayan Institute Mexico – Energy Farming program
HI Mexico is the Institute’s newest international center, and home to an Energy Farming training and demonstration center teaching local farmers organic, sustainable farming techniques and herbal cultivation.

Himalayan Institute Cameroon, West Africa – Community Center humanitarian projects
The Institute’s flagship humanitarian project, HI Cameroon is home to 5 major humanitarian programs, including the Total Health Center, Kumbo Public Library and vocational training schools, impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands in the region.

Educational & Spiritual Offerings

Himalayan Institute Allahabad, India
HI Allahabad is the Institute’s premier spiritual retreat center in North India. A 30-acre campus situated on the banks of the river Ganga, this center hosted the Maha Kumba Mela 2001, and has since offered teachers training programs, spiritual excursion workshop intensives, and oversees a village schools sponsorship and scholarship program.

Since its inception, the Himalayan Institute has extended financial aid and scholarships so deserving students can benefit from our educational and spiritual programs.

Specialty Educational & Spiritual Programs:
Sacred Link public lecture series (2001-2005) and conferences, Maha Kumbha Mela 2001, spiritual excursions, Living Tantra. These unique offerings wouldn’t be possible without donor support.

Yoga International Magazine & Himalayan Institute Press Publications
Winning 3 Gold Folio awards this decade, Yoga International continues to be the leading, independent, non-commercial voice for authentic yoga wisdom. In the past decade, Himalayan Institute Press has continued its legacy of sharing the timeless wisdom of the Himalayan Tradition through the publication of 55 issues of the Yoga International magazine and over 30 books including At the 11th Hour, Touched by Fire, and Pursuit of Power and Freedom by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D., and most recently Radical Healing Second Edition by Rudolf Ballentine, M.D.
