Pancha karma, the ayurvedic system of cleansing and rejuvenation, is offered at the Himalayan Institute Total Health Center™.

Ayurveda recognizes that many illnesses result from the build-up of toxins in the body, which impairs the functioning of its natural defenses, lymphatic, circulatory, and immune systems. Healing can occur when toxins are removed and energy flows freely through the body. This physician supervised, personalized program is designed to restore optimal health and well-being.

The program includes:

  • Ayurvedic consultation with physician
  • Daily cleansing massage (Abhyanga)
  • Daily oil treatment (Shirodhara)
  • Daily steam therapy (Svedhana)
  • Light cleansing diet
  • Oil-based enema or other cleansing technique
  • Lectures on cleansing, ayurveda, meditation, and lifestyle
  • Concluding physician appointment

Schedule: The program begins Wednesday afternoon with a physician consultation and an orientation. Treatments follow on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and concludes with a physician consultation on Sunday morning. Depart after lunch on Sunday.

Cost: Pancha Karma Services: $1,250, plus $500 for 4 nights private accommodations, including meals. A $500 deposit is required at the time of appointment. Call 570-253-5551, ext. 3100 to register.

Cancellation: If you cancel your appointment 14 or more days in advance, your deposit will be refunded.  Cancellations within 14 days of your appointment will result in a 50% refund of the deposit; the balance may be applied to a future pancha karma appointment. There will be no refunds for cancellations within seven days of your appointment.
